Sanjaya is still around due to one word: Terrorists.
Terrorist cells are currently operating in America and during their idle time they attempt to ruin everything and anything that Americans believe in.
Another option is the terrorists actually think Sanjaya Malakar is good. This is a more frightening prospect, as it shows that the terrorists are delusional and extremely disturbed. There is no reasoning with people like this.
Either way, it is terrorists.
