At this point, Duke is your best bet. Duke gives you the best chance (at the moment) of becoming a star player under a legendary coach with a lackluster team. St. John's does not have the pedigree of a Duke, Ohio St., or Georgetown - so rule that out. Georgetown is a great NCAA school, but like Ohio St., there is simply too much talent there to succeed. The last thing you need is to get lost in a crowd of talent at a top notch school.

I would go to Duke. I am a duke fan so why not, right? I think it would be fun to play at cameron indoor and have the Cameron Crazy on your side. I wouldn't mind to be coached by coach k. He is an outstanding coach and he could teach you a lot. It would be so awesome to play in the same rivarly as Michael Jordan, Jay Williams, Trajon Langdon, William Avery, Cherokee Parks, Christian Laettner, Shane Battier, Bobby Hurley, JJ Redick, Johnny Dawkins. It would be fun to play for the so called, "villians" of the ncaa tourny and make everyone mad when you win. I would not choose St. John you won't be on a top team and won't get as good coaching and same for Hofstra. G'Town has had a good season this year for a change, but still this only one season and they haven't been real good consistantly like they were before. Ohio St. you would be playing for a football school that is a big let down. I wouldn't go to school if they thought football was more important than basketball.

RIvarly Week Rocks!

Duke
You get an outstanding coach and leader in Coach Krzyzewski, hey I think I spelled it right.

This program is home to many NBA stars and whoever the idiot above me said they have a horrible track record...Duke has many NBA players, it's just most of them are not superstars. But there are still many good players that went to Duke: Grant Hill, Christian Laettner, Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, Corey Maggette, Jason Williams and a star in Elton Brand. (I'm sure whoever the idiot was above me is a Heels fan)

At Duke, you will get a lot of publicity because they are one of the most elite and talked about programs in the nation.

Also, with Duke you get a great education to go along with sports. Duke is one of the strongest academic schools in the country.

If these 5 were your options, this would be my order of preference:
1. Duke: for reasons above
2. St. John's: Home town hero and a lot of competition in the Big East
3. Georgetown: Again, the Big East is the most competitive conference but their track record is blotchy
4. Hofstra: Easy to be a star their
5. Ohio State: I read that like 82% of all-americans leave early for the NBA and 91% of those never go to an all-star game. So not only do you not finish school, no NBA success.

OK. First off, forget about basketball. You've narrowed the field using basketball, but the final decision should NOT be based on basketball. All four schools have fine academic programs. You have to determine what you want to do when you can no longer play basketball, and find out which of these schools offers the best program in that area.

Never, EVER make a decision based on something as temporary as a sport. Who knows, you could suit up as a starter for any of these four schools as a freshman and blow your knee out (like Shawn Livingston) and never be able to play again. Make your decision based as a student, not as an athlete.

Your best bet would be to check out each school, talk with the coaches, and maybe some of the players. Choose a school that has the curriculum you want to study. For example if you want to study medicine then Duke is a good school to attend. I must admit that was hard for me to write (since I am a UNC fan.) Don't choose a school based on how good the team is. Just follow your heart and you will know which one is right for you. Best of luck to you.

First of all, high school stars go to junior colleges...High school super stars go to Elite basketball schools like Duke and Georgetown...Are you the best player in your state? Best in the northeast? I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you!

Ohio State will win! they have a dominant huge guy in Oden who can administration the paint and Hibbert. 2 very sturdy guards in Mike Conley Jr and Ron Lewis. whilst Georgetown has Jeff green and Roy Hibbert.

NOT Duke - they have a horrible track record of players in the NBA.

I'd say Georgetown.

Ask Edgardo Sosa and Francisco Garcia, and Jamal Mashburn, all played for Rick Pitino.
