From the group stages the top two teams from each group qualfy for the super 8. In the super8 they play 6 matches each because they dont play a match against the team the had already faced.

For example, India qualifies for the super8. They will face every team ther but not Bangladesh because they have already faced each other in the groups.

Each team gets 2 points for winning. The top four teams qualify for the semifinal where the the top team and the fourth team face and second team and the third team of the super8 face each other. The two winners face each other at the finals.
