Not trying to be mean here ladies, but I totally believe that isn't your place. I think it is totally wrong for a woman to gear up for battle or to wear soldier's fatigues. Not only is it "he/she" and disgusting looking, it also isn't practical. Women are not physically strong enough to do some of what would be required. A chain is as strong as it's weakest link and if an army has women it contains the weaker gender so you do the math on that one. I don't think women have the emotional capabilities either to handle making decisions in a high adrenaline, stressful, and violent situation nor to be able to handle the post-war trauma that is inflicted mentally. Plus, if women get pregnant they would definately have to abstain and that would certainly create holes in key positions. Please don't be offended ladies, but your place is not in combat. However, you can support your troops in combat by making care packages and writing men nice letters. Wouldn't you agree?

Well...I think the ladies should rather be at home or be in the building next to the battlefield to tend to the injured men...but not FIGHTING

WELL... first I must say that I have the utmost respect for ANYONE brave enough to join the military and go on to fight a war whether it'd be a man OR woman - I respect them equally. I do, however agree with you on most of your points... I just wouldn't word it the same way. Women are weaker, physically - that's a fact - generally speaking of course. As far as the emotional aspect I actually believe that a woman is far LESS likely to go crazy and kill a fellow soldier or themselves than a man is. I think that women can actually handle the emotional stress of being in a war than a man can just for the fact that they're much more capable of talking about and owning up to how they feel whereas a man is more compelled to bottle it up. Especially men in the military where they feel the need to be all macho and fierce.
I am a military spouse and we're stationed in Okinawa, Japan and when I see a woman in uniform, (and I do every day), I am nothing but proud of what they're doing and they have 100% support from me. I, personally, would never even think of joining the military myself and go to war... I think that as hard as it is to say women are more prone to being the weaker link in the chain than men.
ON THE OTHER HAND - I could just be a big hypocrite because I LOOOVE Nicole Z's answer. That's awesome!

Don't be offended? How can I not be? I am a lady, who in fact is Military/Police lady. You know, it is typical for a person to say that, who hasn't experienced military experience. Not only can I do anything a guy can do, but I can do it a hell of a lot better then most men can. So you think I am not physically strong, because I am a lady? You know how many men I have thrown to the ground and taken down, by myself? As for your sexist comment on how it is a he/she look, that is terrible of you, a woman risking her life to keep you free, and you are concerned about her looks? You are the kind of person who I would love to just take my size 8 magnum boot and shove it right up your a$s. Not only do I go a great job serving my country and community, but I am sexy as hell doing it! As for all you ladies agreeing, you should know better then this! There is no weaker sex, only weak people, and I am not one of them. Stand your ground because I am a woman and I can do anything a guy can do!

I agree with you, again! What happened to women being the softer side that men need? I LOVE my role of being the ONE thing a man needs! What has happened to women? That they can take up arms and KILL ? That is just sick. AND, many soldiers have told me that women on the battlefield are a HINDERANCE, because most of the guys were taught to be gentlemen... which means they gotta stop and HELP the women ... IT IS REQUIRED! They get private showers, and a lot of extra 'special' things men do NOT GET! I HATE IT! Somebody ignored these lil girls when they were growing up. Go ahead, somebody report me again. OR BETTER YET! .... n/m.
ACTUALLY! Israel has it all the right way!

I disagree I am a Service Member and know 17 women without even trying who I'd be completely confident going into combat with.
And Much Respect to Nicole Z
I have been in a few rough spots and a female has been with me in a lot of them and handled herself with pride.

I lived in Israel, where it's manditory for all men AND women to serve in the army... so it just seems normal to me.
