Require evidence. When in doubt, explore the scientific, logical, or physical basis of the worry. Recognize that both may stem from fear and may not be rational.

So the first question should be how the God can be identified with? What are Its attributes? What is God and what not is God? What are the Means and Test Conditions for Knowing God? Are these conflicting scriptures are of some substance or not?
The people who can be called intellectuals or pandits argue very much. But ultimately people are pulled towards Godhood because of some kind of Experiences. If spoken plainly I think in matters of Faith experiences are the guidelines. One great question raised by many is that how can we say for sure that whether this so called Omni Potent God exist or not? There are some counter arguments also regarding this question. For example, Can you say for certain, the Omnipotent God do not exist at all..?
How can the Science achieve ‘Super Conductivity’ (the state of zero resistance for passing electricity – meaning zero loss of power in conduction) in the present age? The answer is that bring down the temperature of materials to -273 deg. C (or to what is called Absolute Zero Temperature). Since this is not possible out of the laboratory test conditions, can we say ‘Super Conductivity’ does not exist at all. They are experienced by a few Scientists who had the imagination to assume that, if with a reduction of temperature, a slight increase in conductivity is possible for the materials in our ambient conditions there should be some temperature at which zero resistance or ‘Super Conductivity’ should happen and these scientists walked in that path creating the test conditions to realize that it is True.
Similarly with some of our prayers to God (usually when in distress), when we see happening of a few things around, we also start our assumptions just like those scientists. Can there be a possibility for an Omnipotent God? Sometimes too much blind dependence on some theories do make us neglect the variations in our own Experiences. For example, some of those latest findings in Neurology saying the oneness with world ie felt by a few during prayers and meditation are because of some natural choking of nerve systems within. But then, what about the changes felt in the outer Gross World because of the Prayers. Then the usual word coined is Coincident. Then what about Repetition of Co incidents? This leads to a Bigger Question – “What are those Test Conditions under which Omnipotence of Godhood is felt?” Now the plane is changing to Agnosticism, Spirituality, Religions etc etc. The Science try to underplay it saying in a non scientific manner all baseless illusions because this question can not be answered or measured with the normal 3 dimensional ....no... 4 dimensional (plus the dimension of Time) scientific tools. Since the science back tracked from answering the above question, the religions sensed their chance and with the taste of blood (The Power) came the various arguments. The disputes of Religions, the crusades of One-upmanship. Different people from different cults start saying by doing such and such things I have observed a reduction in temperature and hence felt some increased conductivity. I think in most of these cases some kind of intense prayers to the Godhood in some manner did change the circumstances both inner and outer for the individual.
Whether you call it Superstition or Paranoia, The Real Faith within and without (not the outwardly made up) has got a lot of positive effects as whole on the totality of the society. There must be some Grand Design.
