The Rhinelander Cafe And Pub, Rhinelander, Wisconsin, home of the Hodag. Not just a cafe any longer. Kept the old name. It's a supper club with micro-brewed beer on tap and a new owner who is into organic. He has 5 other restaurants in northern Wis and wants to buy a big plot of land in the area to grow all-natural produce for all his eateries. Motif is nautical.

it's a chain restaurant, but hey, its delicious American food
also....not like anybody would happen to be passing through anytime soon, but there's a great roadside diner along Route 3 in Northport, Maine called the Hideaway Diner.

One of the Best places I've ever eaten at, was at Casa Bonitas Restaurant. It is located in Denver Colorado. I no longer live in Colorado, and miss those times we went there.
I'm not even sure it is still open.

The Grease Trucks at Rutgers University in NJ. No doubt. It's not exactly a restaurant...but it's the best thing ever.
