What is everyones favorite kind of dog?my kids are wanting a new one since ours died,id like some ideas.thanks

terriers, golden retreivers. i like those sled dog types. and cocker spaniels. dont get pitbulls. bad 4 kidz

I've had several dogs over my life time and I have to say the best "kid dog" we ever had was a Cocker Spaniel. She was good with the kids, let them crawl on her and poke at her, and she was so tolerant of them.
I held her in my arms when the Vet put her down, she was 14 and had bad cataracts in both eyes, and wobbled with bad arthritic hips, she was so loved, and I still miss her.

Here's a dog to answer it!
Schnauzers are nice in the miniature or standard variety. Jack Russell terriers and Irish terriers are awesome, and Brittany spaniels and black labs are about the finest companions you could hope for.

My favorite dog is a miniature daschund. My husband gave me mine for a christmas gift 2 years ago. She so sweet. She was very easy to house train and she only weighs 9lbs. She's very small.

Get a mutt...they are my favorite kind of dogs because they have the most personality. Try a dog that is a pit mix or a german shepard mix. they make very handsome dogs.

Corgi! They are somewhat small, even tempered, they love to play... I had to put my Cookie down 2 years ago, she was by far the best dog on the planet!

Mixed breed. Go to the pound, I guarantee you'll see the perfect dog for you and your family, it'll be love at first sight. You'll be saving him/her and he/she will be eternally grateful. It'll be a great lesson for your kids, too.

Labrador retrievers they are great family dogs and they are good around kids, very good natured
