Why does the U.S. not require a high school education?

Land of the free pal. The law in most states require children to attend school until 16 - when they may quit with parental consent. Education is a right (formerly a privilege - but let's not even go there) and as any right the citizen is free to exercize that right or not.

Most finish high school, many go on to college, where is there a better educational system, and opportunity to be trained and educated by the best professionals in the world than in the U.S ? THERE ISN'T ANY ! Where is most of the High tech advancements made in medicine, pharmaceuticals, and engineering, in the U.S.

Students have to go until they are 16.

If you know anything about that age, you should know that you can't force that age to finish school. They rebell. Some actually go and get their degree by taking the high school equivalency test. Some just drop out and unfortunately get in with gangs or criminals.

i thought they did but i guess for certain jobs like fast food that is not required
