I wouldn't be upset. He was trying to save your feelings.I have experienced things my hubby hasn't.It makes a relationship exciting to try things together. The past is the past.He would have been embarrassed to admit that to you.He hasn't actually done anything wrong.Yes he should have been honest, all men tell white lies and eventually get caught out. It's not a bad lie though. He was thinking of you.

No, I don't think you should be upset. After all, he did come clean and tell you the truth. Perhaps he didn't feel that he could have told you before. I would also suggest that you two discuss the possibility of doing anal sex, look into what it entails, and use this as an opportunity to grow closer. This is not an easy thing for a anyone to ask about or discuss; now that he finally has, don't make him regret doing so.

I've recently learned the idea that we aren't born knowing how to lie. That we lie for two reasons -- to spare hurting someone's feelings or to avoid getting scolded.

When we're little and first asked -- "Did you do...?" even if it was something bad we shake our heads up and down and admit it...until we get spanked or yelled at or some other consequence. We learn that if we lie we can avoid pain and discomfort. So, next time we lie.

Ask yourself why your husband turned to lieing...and take it from there. It's either one or the other or both. Then let him see that he can be honest with you always. It's not easy, but it can be done.

I hope the best for you both -- marriage is extremely difficult!
