We say we dont judge others but is that entirelly true? I dont mean the color of your skin, I mean if a person is heavy and not fit to the "role model of society" do you feel they are looked down on? Do we not tend to judge when someone drops of a resume or comes for an interview?
Do we tend to hire people because we like them rather than if they can do the job? Do you think people give preference to others because they are young, thin and good looking? Do you think society plays favorites? I am going through something in my life that would cause me to ask these questions so I thought I would post. Thank you and Have a great evening.

I think I am going through something in my life too, wondering how society is like it is, and why there is always a focus on negativity. But I guess it is easier for humans to focus on negativity than anything positive. That seems to be how peopel look at others as well. It is easier to find the negative in people, rather than anythign positive. Once a negative thought begins, it builds.

People do get hired, sure based on looks and if "someone knows someone." That seems to be what I have witnessed in society. It is based on favorites. And if someone knows how to "play the game", then they get ahead, even if it means breaking the rules along the way. If they have advantages, they will use it, whether it is looks or connections.

I hope this time in yoru life will pass, and after every valley, there is always a great mountain to look forward to.

Definitely. People will always be like that. We may not want to, but it's human nature. Not a good quality of human nature, but what can we do? Not all people are like that though and their lucky. People should try to overcome their prejudice and judging of people.

yes, and I also think that the elderly are overlooked and disrespected

We all want to be young and there are so many anti aging products out there, that now being old is unlikeable. im noticing a lot of disrespect for the elderly lately.
