a true turtle neck is tight and rolls over itself, a mock is more of a shirt with a tighter neck that goes up about an inch or two on the neck and doesnt roll down

a mock turtle neck is much shorther than a regular turtleneck.

In regards to the high collar, you are looking for a dress shirt that has a defind collar. This does not apply to a turtleneck.

a turtleneck shirt has the fabric around the neck that almost fully covers (or does fully cover) the skin on the neck, with the fabric folding down over the neck . a mock turtleneck's fabric does not fold down to cover the neck, and instead just reaches up. so, there is no exccess fabric and no need to worry about how the fabric is folded

turtlenecks usually have a folder over collar. Mocks stand up. not really sure what you mean by high collared shirt. mocks are generally shorter in the collar than regular turtle necks.

personally I never wear mock turtles....i think they look weird.

one is totally rolled down and the on other is only up to the top of your neck. its not folded down.
