Life is ultimately about loss. Everything we were born with or otherwise gained in life will eventually be lost, innocence included.

I don't thik of it as being lost. I think of it as something that you grow out of, like toys or childhood clothing. Unless, for example, you lose something like your virginity (I know, common examply, but it gets the point across) at an early age (13-16). Then I believe that innocence is lost. Innocence is something that goes hand in hand with maturity. The more mature you are, the more innocence you can leave behind. There's a point when you're allowed to "less innocent" just to be able to cope with things as an adult. Can you imagine going through life as an adult with the same morals as children? It would be weird.
And now I'm at the point where I've said "innocence" so many times that it doesn't sound like a word anymore, so I'll stop.
I hope this helped!

I don't think it's meant to be lost, but in this harsh world it inevitably always is lost...maybe the naivety that comes along with innocence is a good thing to lose...being naive can lead to trouble later on(there are those who will hurt and take advantage of)...but as for innocence, I really don't think it has to or is meant to be lost...
...much is lost tho, when innocence is lost: a sense of child-like wonder, a freshness and purity, a simplicity of self, etc. I don't see why innocence isn't protected in children...this life is harsh and a certain toughness is needed, but...that toughness can co-exist with innocence...just a little common sense is needed.
The responsibilities of life are demanding and life can be harsh, but we can still retain something of our childhood in our adulthood.
Great question☺

Who says? Did you have a hollow on your pocket which you place your innocence in and it fell out while you went to get groceries? Innocence is a perspective. toddlers have it by utilising default because of the fact, needless to say, they have no adventure. that would not recommend you ought to lose it or supply it up. Being older basically ability you have a decision on whether to maintain that innocence or whether to commerce it in for some thing else. procuring and advertising away your innocence, and then blaming others, ability you chosen to try this. undesirable issues take place to little ones each and all of the time. What a baby does is cry as difficult as they might and then strikes onto some thing else extra constructive and exciting. Who cares approximately scrapped knees whilst bugs Bunny is on the television? listening to the bell that fell off Santa's sleigh is a decision. A renting of The Polar convey is so as in case you prefer to be reminded of issues harmless and of the alternative it implies.

As father of a beautiful daughter, innocence is a precious thing to be protected. She's now almost 22 and about to graduate college. She's whip-smart and wise beyond her years, but also fresh and fun and ready to start her adult life without the baggage of unwanted pregnancy or drug abuse. What good would "losing her innocence" have done her?

Death is the ultimate loss of innocence. Life is nothing but our death begun. We are born with one foot in the cradle and one foot in the grave.
Yes, it is meant to be lost. Living kills it hour by hour.
