Depends which Greeks we're talking about.
I admire the Athenians for giving us civilisation: art, culture, sciencee, philsophy, law and democracy.
Sparta was a brutal military dictatorship where training for war began from birth. They had the best soldiers.
I haven't seen 300 so can't say yet but Thermopylae was an important battle. The Spartans sacrificed themselves to let the other Greeks escape and defeat the Persians in a final battle that sank the Persian fleet and forced their army to retreat.

No. Just that the Spartans were bad@$$es.
Compare "300" to "The 300 Spartans" and you will see why I like "300" better.
If you want to learn more, watch the History channel. They have a really excellent documentary on that story.

During the Colonel-Hunta times, I remember them as funny people, fat, anti-sportists, humble, full with hospitality. After their joining the EU, they become arrogant, ancient-age-pretenders. How money change the character
