Include in this part of what each artist considered to be true art form and why, whether he focused on realism or idealism and why, and anything else you can think of that would be significant.

Leonardo and Michelangelo both had very idealistic styles. Leonardo is most known for his skill in chiaroscuro (shading) and sfumato (smokiness). The faces of Leonardo's few paintings are generally angelic. Most of Leonardo's work is found in his sketchbooks, which contained everything from anatomy drawings to detailed designs for machines of war (such as a primitive tank). Michelangelo was primarily a sculptor, although he also did frescoes. He is known for having "terrible" subjects (terrible as in imposing and powerful, not poorly done). His women are often called "men with ****" and have helped fuel a rumor that there were no female nude models in the Renaissance (this is not true).

To tell the difference, just think of Michelangelo as being the more manly with large figures, and Leonardo being more effiminate with smoother figures.
