When I was in high school, we didn't get lockers. A few lockers were present, although they were for "disabled" students who weren't capable of carrying their belongings. I had always wished he had them. The main reason behind lockers is the fact that there are so many subjects in one day and so many books to carry around.
Books can cause back problems, which I presently have, mildly. Since so many students don't want to carry around books, they just don't bring them and that poses a learning problem.
Luckily, most of my classes had books that were kept in the classroom that were assigned to us, each being shared by several different periods. If we needed them for homework, we could check them out to bring back the next day. Not only did that cut down the number of books to carry around, it also cut down on costs; shared books equals less books to buy.
I believe lockers are a nice luxury to have but they aren't required to have the same educational experience if other options in the school are present, ie. in-classroom books. Students tend to hide things in their lockers that they aren't supposed to have. Lockers can pose an invasion-of-privacy and alternate theft problem.

Schools should have lockers because books are very heavy to carry around in middle school and high school. Also, coats and gym clothes could be stored in a locker too.

Schools should have lockers for a myriad of reasons. Books are heavier, most homework is in worksheet form or on the internet, and lockers help students to keep up with their school materials and students may be less likely to leave their materials at home.

a school should have lockers so students can keep their textbooks and other heavy school supplies in there. also they wouldn't loose their stuff. if schools didn't have lockers books would everywhere and the school would be a mess, it would be hecktic. no one would be able to study properly and students would break their backs carrying 1200 pounds of books and binders.

Schools should have lockers for your books and
other belongings that need to be safe guarded from less than honest people. Also a good place to put your books or whatever you store in there.

Try decorating it with your favorite artists, quotes, and pictures of you and your friends. No stickers, though. I had some stickers, but instead of sticking them to my locker, I bought some magnets at a craft store, and glued them to the back of the sticker, and stuck the magnetic part to the locker. I did that with print out pictures, also! Good Luck!

in middle and high school, you change from desk to desk. if you didn't have lockers, you'd have tons of books to carry around each class. lockers store your books and stuff, so you don't have to carry them in each class.
