Its a disorder that effects our moods chemically we have really no control over it -- however there are ways to treat it through therapy and medication. or if you don't want to do that try to pinpoint negative things in your life and try to resolve them. Also do more things that enhance your self esteem like achieving daily goals, excercise also helps big time even if you go for a walk everyday, if you don't like something about yourself fix it.

You most certainly do have control over it.

And it's nice to see someone suggest chocolate rather than Zoloft...

People exist as containers for energy. Containers that in a constant state of either trying to empty out or become full.

Some people are never full... and therefore need to drain you of yours. Some people are so full that they force theirs on you so as to unload a bit.

Either way... If you let them... for whatever their reason, people will either drain you or force themselves on you. IF YOU ALLOW THEM TO.

Most people forget that their brain isn't just some inanimate thing floating around in their head... YOu control your own destiny, your own cells, your own bodily finction and your own mood and feelings... By what you do, how you act and how you fuel your body and with what.

It was explained in the analogy found in the man behind the curtain in the wizard of OZ... The entire process of the movie explains the mental process...

If you smoke pot... Or sleep in "fields and fields of poppies..." It's a little easier a concept to grasp.

Depression is often caused by insufficient blood flow to the brain.
It has also been found that the flavenoids found in unprocessed cocoa will increase blood flow by 10 to 15%.
Drink 4 cups of hot cocoa using such cocoa a day...

May be because you don't respect and accept yourself much. Try not to focus on yourself when you are out and on your past experience in your thoughts.
