I believe that illegal aliens who have messed up paperwork after getting a VISA should have a better chance of staying than those who jump the borders. Unfortunately there is much trouble with how the world works today! No matter what this country does it will be impossible to stop illegal immigration. Even with the construction of a massive wall, there will be another way in., The question is, where will the line stop if we grant amnesty? If we start today will illegals jumping the border tomorrow have protection? Will we have just one day where illegals can register to become American and then stop? How will it work? We know that governments are horrible at executing orders! Immigration helps America by building economies of scale and increasing the amount of labor and demand within our own borders. However a giant surge cannot be absorbed quickly and is not sustainable in the long run. I don't know if amnesty will help or hurt but I know that America's future is continuing it's decline. Good question!

There are several ways to be illegal, you got here legal and then your visa expires, let your paper work get messed up, or you can do like the majority and come here illegal by being a criminal failing to follow the legal system.
I think that the ones that follow the system and start legal should be given a chance to correct their paper work.
Those that come here as criminals by just coming illegal should have no rights and be sent home asap. It these type of people that are making the U.S. a very bad work place, and cheating the government out of billions in taxes, using the free things, like hospitals, schools and welfare.
The illegal criminals should have no rights under our constitution and punished as criminals and sent home.
