Disadvantage #1: The long season. 82 games is ridiculous, and easily makes regular season games seem mostly meaningless.
Disadvantage #2: Every round of the playoffs is best of seven. For the championship team, it means a minimum 16 more games and a potential 28 more games.
Disadvantage #3: The refs. Maybe this is just a personal gripe of mine, but guys getting away with travels and getting sent to the foul line on phantom, or at the very least, ticky-tack fouls degrades the quality of the game. Sometimes it seems completely arbitrary when a ref calls a palm or a travel.
Advantage #1: The level of athleticism, although the mind-boggling athleticism of stars nowadays maybe the main reason that good fundamental basketball is in decline, it can still sometimes provide the unparalleled entertainment of seeing some of the greatest athletes in the world go toe to toe.
Advantage #2: (This one's strictly for the players) The Money. Even benchwarmers are making boocoo cash. Plus, unlike those poor guys awaiting their inevitable career-ending injury in the NFL, the NBA player's union takes care of its players with guaranteed contracts (of course this results in some guys only playing well in contract years).
Advantage #3: Basketball is becoming popular the world over. The stars of the NBA are international celbrities.
Advantage #4: The beauty of the game. When a well coached team is in the zone and clicking, combining the tremendous athleticism of NBA talent with precision ball-movement and lights-out shooting it is a thing of beauty to behold. See the Phoenix Suns for reference.
Advantage #5: The buzzer-beater. How many other sports feature so many games that go undecided until the final play of the game.

Advantages: 1. You'll be in shape, working out. 2. money 3. Fame and popularity 4. might find a lover faster 5. more friends than before 5. traveling to other states and countries 6. play with famous NBA players 7. maybe your favorite sport
Disadvantages: 1. might lose the love for the game 2. lover might want you only for your money. 3. fake (money loving) friends 4. injuries may occur that may end your career 5. if your trying to hide something about you or someone close to you, people will still find out (may give you bad reputation) 6. Might have to pay up if you act up to the NBA.

but disadvantages is it seems that players lose their love for the game and the pride they used to take in it in college where all they did was play for pride and for their team now its all about money and publicicty and being famous

Advantage....You get to play all over the country...you get paid extremely well...you get to father children without being married...you dont have to accept responsbility for your actions....if the team plays poorly..fire the coach...

advantage-when your bench the whole season yu still get the money.
disadvantage-others just want a the stats than to win games.......just like KOBE!!1st round of playoffs against the SUNS they lose 3 straight but look at his stats game 5,29 pts.....game 6,50 pts..........game 7 ,24 pts .....he average 34 pts a game in that 3 losses wat up with that......
and fans love more that they win than their team's star going for 50 pts but loss...........KOBE SUCKS!!!!!!
