It's possible they don't want to hurt the baby during the act, but on the other hand some guys are just jerks. It is possible to have sex with a pregnant woman and not hurt the baby. I took a Human Sexuality class when I was in college and we talked about that. I also saw something somewhere about positions that couples can use to have sex. It adds an extra dimension in the bedroom! These guys don't know what their missing.

Yes, and doesnt it make you feel like the ugliest person ever! They put you in that position and suddenly when it comes to the bedroom they treat you like damaged goods!
I am not talking about all men, there are some nice ones out there. The genuine ones who really love their girlfriends and their girlfriends will never change in their eyes.
I am about to have my baby anyday and had suspected my partner had played away for months but i just had to prove it. I found out two days ago that the woman was his ex and he had been having sex with her and wining and dining her. He stopped taking me out. I guessed it was with someone else cause it wasnt with me and when he came back to me he would suddenly try new sex techniques, etc! Makes me feel sick to think about it. She doesnt know he has a partner (me) and am about to give birth anyday now. Tomorrow, i am going to see her in my full bloom and warn her what a lying pig he is.
I think if a relationship is worth lasting and true, your sex life should not be affected. A woman needs recognition and more attention in her pregnancy cause her body is changing so much and if the man wont show her his love she may feel unloved and hold it against him when she is back in shape.
I have heard that some men are scared to do it in case they hurt baby. Aw :)
Congrats on the baby! x

Well for some it might be like that, but my partner actually loved me being pregnant and wanted sex. It did affect our relationship though as he was receiving radiation for cancer. We were told by his oncologist and my ob/gyn that it was safe to have sex. Just that he always used a condom while doing it.
Ill give him that much though. During all the time he was sick a bit of "naughtiness" in the bedroom always kept him chirpy. And me being pregnant actually seemed to add to the experience ;)

Most boyfriends being pretty stupid (like I was) think that they might damage the baby or hurt the girl if they have intercourse while pregnant.
It's a great excuse to get a guy to pamper you though. You should find with a little female cunning, you can laze all day and they'll run around like bees.

Well since you say boyfriend Im assuming you guys are still pretty young and unmarried. When this happens I find a lot of guys are not ready for the responsibility or not yet mature enough to handle it and they act out with reckless behavior. Usually they shape up but there is no excuses for cheating behavior.

I know what u mean, mine cheated on me when i was 8 weeks. I told him I would let him know where to send the checks, then i moved out! LOL! I always thought that guys thought pregnant women were soooo good to sleep with. Wrong I guess. They are just punks. Who needs em?

My man said he felt weird about it. I told him he needed to get over it.
I dont know what psychologically goes on in their heads, but whatever it is, they need to deal with it.
They should give classes to men for dealing with sex during pregnancy.
Its rediculous really.

Well, getting pregnant before you have a complete commitment is not the best circumstances. Not all guys cheat and not all don't want to have sex. There are plenty of good guys out there, that are willing to commit,.

I don't know. Maybe some men find it unnatractive?
My husband thinks I'm cute pregnant. We still have sex. Maybe not as often, but still pretty often, and I know where he is every night.
