I believe in aliens, because given the size and age of the universe, there's bound to have been something else that was created in a way similar to us.
I don't believe in ghosts, because I don't want to and because Casper scares the crap out of me. oh, and because they're not real.

I don't really believe in either because ghosts are not real and people haven't found any signs of aliens.

No. Nor do I believe in god, unicorns, the easter bunny, santa claus, bigfoot, or the loch ness monster.
Because they are fictional.
p.s. though I do belive that ,given the size of the universe, there is life on some distant planet, physics precludes any from visiting earth.

Unquestionably there is life on other planets, whether or not we ever encounter it is doutbful. Ghosts? Floating dead people? Afraid not.
