My oher SP's are Chris Carpenter, Roy Halladay, Ian Snell, Chris Capuano and Jeff Francis. My only SS is Khalil Greene. If not who would you trade for Young?

Roy Oswalt is going, on average with pick # 32.2 in Yahoo leagues. Young is going at pick # 37.2, so Oswalt is considered, on the whole, marginally more valuable.

In this case, however, You have Carpenter and Holliday to anchor your rotation, and your SS is aweful, pushing Youngs value higher, and Oswalt's value down. THerefore, I would probobly ultimately do it.

Before I accepted though, I would decline and respond with an offer to trade Halladay for Young. (Oswalt's value is higher, because he gives you a few more K's.) If he declines THAT, then I would reoffer this deal.

I would try to get an additional player with Young if you try to trade Oswalt but if the manager doesnt accept that then i would try Ian Snell and Capuano for him. If he doesnt do that then i guess you shoud do it because Khalil Greene is a beastly defensive SS but he is not a fantasy SS and Young is amazing.

I would probably take this trade, but in a standard 5x5 league, where Young isn't as impactful as Oswalt, I would first try to make it a 2-for-2 trade and improve myself in another position as well. But if your league counts Hits as well, I think an Oswalt for Young straight up is fine, especially with the other great starters you have.

You seem to have good support on the SPYoung will play everyday and SP won't. Greene as a starting SS is not good. just average

Make the trade

No way, oswalt is a awesome pitcher, michael young isnt worht trading for young. if they are available for back-up, try and pick up Stephen Drew or Troy Tulowitzski for SS

Yes, i think thats a very fair trade. With michael young you get 200+ hits a year and a bunch more. Also, you have tramendous pitching already, but your SS sucks. I'd take this trade and run with it. You will steal out of this trade, believe me

It is a rather fair trade, I think your starters will be fine w/o Oswalt and you improve SS by oodles

I would do that. Green is not a solid option and you have enough to get by with. Try to bait them with Capuano and Green for Young first and see if they bite.

No! Oswalt is great, he's the #1 starter for the Astros!
