Probably for the same reason that colonel is spelled with an "l" but is pronounced like an "r", why there exists and Indiana State University of Pennsylvania, and why Kansas City is in Missouri...just stupid people enjoying their life by confusing and effing with other people's lives.

Because the people who invented the word ' You' wanted to make us school kids suffer and thought that if it was spelled 'U' then that would be letting us off the hook or something

Its a conspiracy. The letter "y" and the letter "o" bought off the letter "u" in order to be included.
