It does not take long to be GOOD at air young grasshopper. But to be a MASTER it takes years of practice. Try alone to some 80's rock and some Van Halen is good. Eventually you will have mastered the art with the hair flying and you will be ready to perform in front of friends. If you slack it will take 2-3 if you practice frequently it should take no more than 1. Take lessons from a crackhead with long hair, they tend to be the best.

Well, I suggest you start by sparing no expense on your air guitar, first.

Make sure you buy a '59 goldtop Les Paul air guitar if you're into vintage, perhaps a PRS Artist air guitar if you like more contemporary.

When it comes to air guitar, the guitar is everything. Our amps go to eleven!

Best to you.

It takes a long time. It depends on how much you practice and how much you try. There is no specific amount of years and practice lessons, it depends all up to you! =D
