belive me i know i live in CINCINATI and i go to 30/40 reds games a year and even when he grounds out the crowd cheers for ever and dont even make me star when he dives ,steals, hits, or even runs out= standing ovation

Ryan Freel is a definite sparkplug. He does what a baseball player is suppose to do. It's very fun to watch. My Cubs have a very similar player to Freel in Ryan Theriot, so I know exactly what you mean.

He's definitely a crowd-pleaser. He has a bit of a problem with maintaining regular productivity at the plate when they start him every day, probably because he wears himself out. But I'll never fault a guy for that. He gives his all on every play, which is all you can ask of a player. He's just best when he has every third or fourth day off.

oh definately. freel is my favorite player beacause of his hustle and effort. every game he gives a 100% performance. he's such a great asset because of his ability to play all spots on the field. he's awesome.
