Liberals seem convinced that President Bush has either already failed, or will fail. Some even claim he will go down in the history books as America's worst president. With attitudes like that, there is no wonder why our country is so divided. And, to me, the President is doing everything he can to curb terrorist threats, and is trying to protect freedom all over the world by taking the fight to the terrorists. I think this is a war that needs to be fully supported so it can succeed, so it can be won. Because it must be won! What if liberals are wrong about the War on Terror, and what if President Bush's foreign policy is right? While he is in office, why don't they give him the benefit of the doubt?

For the same reason none of the villagers came when the little boy cried, "Wolf!"

It's kind of hard to give a man the benefit of the doubt when he's done such a fantastic job of screwing things up in the first place. After 9-11 Bush's main concern should have been to capture Bin Laden and bring him to justice but he didn't. He let him get away and even said in several interviews that Bin Laden's location was unimportant to him. Instead, he rallied as many people behind him as possible over attacking Iraq due to seemingly non-existent weapons of mass destruction. We had no decent strategy once we got to Iraq, it took us over two years to capture Saddam Hussein and now that he's gone, nothing's calmed down, nothing has indicated that there is any clear exit plan to this war.

Pile this on top of a personality that is downright insulting and smug and the fact that the man seemingly lacks the ability to read, speak and react like an intelligent man and you've got a good chunck of the country... not just Liberals mind you... who have lost all faith in the President.

Our war in Iraq has about as much to do with terrorism as a Big Mac has to do with a low-fat diet. It has to do with oil and the fact that Hussein tried to "kill his daddy." Now we've got several thousand boys who will never return home to their family and loved ones for what... $3 a gallon and a recession we will suffer under for the next five years?

Bush doesn't deserve the Presidency... he was never elected in the first place and cheated his way into the White House. He was a miserable failure as an ivy leaguer, a miserable failure as a Texas businessman, a miserable failure as a governor and now a miserable failure of a President.

In short, if George Bush didn't have his daddy's name and power, he'd be lucky to be the night manager at a Taco Bell.

And you want me to give him the benefit of the doubt why? Because you and only 38% of America still support him? Not a good enough reason if you ask me!

Because he's a moron - and you're naive for even doubting this fact. The man is a warmongering idiot who only has his daddy's investors interests at heart.

This isn't a war your country is fighting, it's an invasion. And the sooner the right-wing neo-nazis in your country admit this, the better. Wake up - there aren't any terrorists. Bush orchestrated the whole thing. The evidence is out there if you bother to open your eyes.

Is it any wonder that Americans are seen as ignorant morons by the majority of the rest of the world while idiots like you spout this garbage in a global arena? But I guess that's the only problem with freedom of speech. You can't have it and still stop brainless monkeys like you talking.

Sorry if there are too many big words in my answer but dictionaries aren't expensive.

You can't blame liberals for the politics of division here. Both parties do that, ad nauseum, in order to gain support. When drumming up support for the war, Bush & co. portrayed everyone who thought the war was a bad idea as terrorist sympathizers and the like. If you want to talk about how the country's so divided, look no further. Now of course the shoe's on the other foot and Bush is unpopular, so his opponents are the ones fostering division by invoking Bush whenever they're seeking gains. Bottom line is that the divisiveness here in America is the fault of both sides, not just one.

Second of all, liberals already gave President Bush the "benefit of the doubt." This was called the Iraq War. In the President's own words, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... uh... you can't get fooled again." Can you possibly be wondering why lots of people don't trust him now?

Let me tell you a little secret. There have always been racists and there will always be racists. There have always been terrorist and there will always be terrorist. A "War on Terror" is the most ridiculous ruse that America has ever fallen for. And if you want to talk about terrorist...look what we did when we came over here from Europe. We should not be the world police. We should not be spending billions on a war when we have problems here at home.

I believe Bush has failed is because he stopped going after Bin Laden. He is the one that has attacked us on multiple occasions including the USS Cole bombing and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The terrorists that attacked us on 9/11 were mostly Saudis not Iraqis. And when you look at some of the terror attacks most of them were from places like Iran and Syria not Iraq. Iraq had no connection to Bin Laden or Al Queda. Now, he did invite Bin Laden to Baghdad. But, Bin Laden refused because he did not want Saddam to eventually take over. As for protecting freedom, Bush has eroded our basic freedoms given to us by our Constitution with legislation like the Patriot Act, Real ID Act, Military Commissions Act of 2006, and the John Warner Defense Act. If you read this legislation it violates the very Constitution he is sworn to uphold. He took an oath to support and defend the Constitution when he took office. He failed at that when he passed this legislation. Because of these things it has lead me not to trust the President or his policies. And anyone who will blatantly violate the Constitution I will not trust.

Because He Has Already Showed Us That There Is No Benefit Of Giving Him The Doubt

Because he is the fall guy. They want the Democrats in office as they are already liberal. They attach Bush, as it gets the attention to hurt the entire Republican Party. In this manner they are setting their party up to sweep the 2008 elections. Hope I am wrong, as if we pull out without winning then we have just set ourselves up for a worse fight down the road and one that won't be to far off, and one that could be right here at home.

Because I no longer have confidence in his ability to lead. I voted for Bush the first time around and have watched, horrified, as my government becomes less transparent, less efficient, less economically responsible. Can you really argue with confidence that the money spent on the war in Iraq is more effective than money spent on the CIA, the FBI. Remember part of economic responsibility is dollar per dollar return. Years have past since 9/11 and we don't have efficient policy for how to board an airplane let alone how to wage war. The Republican party needs to regroup and reconsider its core values: limited government, fiscal responsibility and accountability.

Which CEO is given the opportunity to fail numerous times?

Say what you like about Saddam, but the one thing he didn't tolerate in Iraq were terrorists of any kind. Now Iraq is crawling with them. Why? Bush is 'creating' terrorism.

The biggest scandal in history is waiting to happen once Bush leaves office and the 'real' reasons for his involvement in Iraq come out into the open.

Post 9/11 he had very high popularity rights. He had it for a while, but manipulation of the American public has turned many a person away from us.

Both sides have their points regarding the war, so in a way both are right. The problem was is using terrorism as a reason to go into Iraq. It was on his agenda from the day he announced his candidacy, but 9/11 gave him the excuse.
