what degree do you need and whats the job description of some one in hr?

The job and duties will vary from company to company and what are the needs. It may include processing payroll, employee relations, safety issues, discipline issues, benefits administration, relocations, hiring.

As far as degree requirements, that varies from company to company as well. There is a degree program for H.R. that you can study and get. There is certification that you can get as well PHR, SPHR.

Some of us have degrees in other areas that transfer or apply. My degree is in International Relations and Diplomacy and I work H.R. for a foreign owned company in the U.S.

Go interview some HR people. Get direct answers....Also have a good reason why this is of interest to you. Ya never know.

Requirements depend on the company. There are no federal or state requirements.
