No. First off capital punishment has been proven over and over again not to deter crime. Secondly if losing your life doesn't deter you either by lethal injection or some other more barbaric way why would the electric chair stop them.

Definitely yes! As long as we going to continue to have capital punishment....then we need to give them Punishment "with a capital P"! Letal injection is a lame way to put away a convicted man...he basically gets to go to sleep and not really feel a thing. There are people who lead good lives everywhere and die or suffer from deaths way worst that the prisoner. If they have to die according to the law, then let them "Sizzle"!

p.s. I am not for capital punishment! haha

I believe the death penalty should be bought back yes.
For long enough we have carried the dead weight of our society and proteceted them by so called human rights when they have complete disregard for human life or the innoence of a child.
When we were more "primitive" so to speak we executed those in our tribes and society's who committed heinous acts against innocent people and its something that still happens today in prisons and on the streets, I believe it is a matter that needs to be officially passed by the law.

corporal punishment as a whole should be brought back for inhumane crimes i.e. rape, child molestation, murder etc. this should not be for crimes such as tax evasion, theft, vandalism. people see corporal punishment as cruel and unusual punishment, but what about the little girl that was raped and the convicted only gets 3 years in jail, 2 of them he is on parole? where is that justice?

I do not beleive the electric chair should be brought back and used as punishment.

Nah. It was totally wasteful and ineffective. A pneumatic bolt gun to the head, like the major slaughterhouses have, is more than sufficient. If it's humane enough for our food, it's humane enough for our animals.

Which is less humane? The electric chair or hanging?

The electric chair should be back to deter people from committing crimes for fear of being brutally executed.

Yes, but only for the worst if the worst. Child molesters and rapists, etc... The rest can die peacefully via lethal injection
