If you live in the U.S., the age at which you can leave home without needing parental permission is 18 in every state, unless you've been emancipated in some manner, such as marriage (requires parental consent) or court decree (rarely granted).

In the United States, a teenager is a legal adult at the age of 18 and can leave without their parents consent. This may vary depending on where you live. The only exception is if the child gets emancipation and severs the parental rights.

Legally a teenager can leave anytime at whatever age, however he/she cannot make any legal transactions like buying a car or renting an apartment, usually you have to be 18- years-old to make those decisions. Therefore, preferably a teenager can leave when he/she is at 18-years-old or more.
