The lining is shedding... it's just tissue coming out that was supposed to be used for implantation of an egg. No egg fertilization = no pregnancy = period = shedding of the uterine lining = blood clots sometimes...
Nutn to worry about at all.. 100% normal and natural...

Each month the lining of the uterus prepares to nourish a fertilized egg. When the egg goes unfertilized, the lining begins to break down and eventually flushes out. By the time you see the blood expelled it is quite "Old" blood and it may coagulate (clot) just the same as if your nose was bleeding. Completely normal. It is usually more commom with maxi pad use as opposed to tampon use because the blood is exposed to the air and that increases the clotting. If you really do not like the clots, try a tampon.

How huge is extensive? 1 / 4 length? A tennis ball? A grapefruit? Clots are especially wide-spread and that i does not subject approximately it too plenty. i understand its frightening once you first see clots. they gained't bypass away. in the event that they start attending to be like golf balls or larger then i might see a doctor yet this sounds extremely wide-spread. once you bypass to the washing room you push all the stuff interior you out. this is merely your physique removing the blood. you will see those clots a good form of years. this is advantageous.

The "clots" are pieces of the uterine wall, which sheds during a period. Only 1-2 tablespoons of blood are lost.

This is just the way some women are. Some people are more prone to their blood clotting while others don't.

Its all how your body processes the blood when its in you. Clots aren't necessarily a problem, unless they get big.

Some women are more predisposwed to it than othwers, but it seems to be associated with lack of physical activity. Any excercise that works the abdominal muscles lessens the amount of clots experianced, but sex and orgasms are particularly good at targeting the muscles around the uterus,

Because of the interior lining that forms in your uterus eveytime you ovulate, and since fertilization doesn't occur that lining must come out and therefore you get blood cloths on your period.
Also due to the breakdown of the lining you get those terrible cramps.
