It depends on what color, I think.
I have one that is the connomon type so he is very light in color with some brown on him. We named him Stuart since he looked a lot like Stuart Little.
A good name for the ones with black over their eyes would be something liek Raccoon or Bandit.
But people find some wacky names for ferrets like Poozy and Banana. By brother had an albino ferret and named him Igor (sounds like ee-gore).

I used to have two, their names were Oscar and Lady Bug. I think Lady Bug is the cutest name for a little ferret. A few other cool names are (boy or girl?): Carlos, Andy, Izabelle, Latrell, Murray, Sly, Riley, Chloe, and Ella. Good luck!

Have disagreeing sides settle it in an all out blood thirsty war to the finish, those left alive get to... well that's obvious. Or, you could let little "No Name" pick it's own. Place cards with submitted names in a line each card covered with a treat. Place a hungry "No Name" in front of the line and let'em at it! The first one nibbled wins and gets all important bragging rights.

I grew up with a ferret named Pookie. It was a funny name because it's such a term of endearment for such a smelly little creature. I think it's cute to name things that are not the first thought of "beautiful" or "cute" with deliberately pretty names. Sweetface, Buttercup, Flower (from Bambi), etc.

You asked: What should I name MY ferret? As in MY you mean YOURS! :) Its your ferret to name...don't worry about it if someone is in disagreement.
Part of naming a pet is knowing their personality and observing them and their behavior. Since I, nor anyone on Yahoo Answers, know your ferret personally it is kind of up to you.
You will know what name is right for you and your pet, don't let anyone discourage you from that.

put the names that everyone likes into a hat and pick one that way....is a fair way that everyone has a chance....
i had a girl ferret that i loved....(had to get ride of her casue bf was allergic).....her name was kia...
