My Mom's best friend died three years ago and it has influenced me to stop taking my friends and family for granted and spend more time with them.

My Mom 2 and a half years ago influenced me alot to get my life right so I may see her again in heaven.

It has caused me to be more "in touch" with my own mortality. It has also taught me not to take anything or anyone for granted. I am more expressive with the ones I love and I have learned the vast power of mere words.

It makes me think of death a lot more often than I did. I used to be sort of oblivious to it. I never really took it seriously until I saw it for myself. And its awful to see it.
