That is right ,no one is perfect in general , but many of us stride to accomplish some sort of perfection in the area of choice , let it be music ,to wood working , where ever , some people do accomplish allot of perfection if one sticks to it till the end and that is the statement "practice makes perfect".

How I understand the maxim, it doesn't potentially mean perfection of ourselves(cause), but the perfection of the end/result(effect) we're trying to arrive at.

i believe that the expression 'practice makes perfect' is meant to encourage us to work hard at perfecting our skills.........such as we go to a batting cage and practice our batting skills to become a better batter.
