The governor of Louisiana must think so because she will not be seeking reelection.

Who's evil stepping on who's stones?

Had the people EVACUATED when they were told to they would not have been trapped in the flood.

Once again I see responses blaming the Bush administration. What happened as to why the local government didn't respond? They had buses that Nagin didn't want to use. The local government knew about this hurricane in plenty of time to respond and evacuate the people of New Orleans. Quit depending on the federal government for everything.

I think most of the failings in the katrina debacle were from state and local incompntencies. I live in Fl. and Fema does not come to our rescue...it is 90% state and county and city response...Ponte verde almost got wiped off the map by hurricane charlie (My home sustained $40k in damage in orlando, 250 miles from where it came ashore...it was still a strong cat 3 when it hit me)and you didn't see those people wallowing in self pity...when a group of people, their city/county and stte are completely unprepared any disaster is going to look like the end of the world.

In order to respond, they had to be invited. The people of New Orleans were responsible for not leaving. The people of New Orleans were responsible for not fixing their dikes. The people of New Orleans were responsible for electing crooked politicians.

Seems to me the response to New Orleans was a step towards eradicating evil.

If the people of New Orleans had evacuated when they were told to, we wouldn't have seen so many people harmed.
I think the response of the American people was wonderful!

I heard the Governor isn't running again. So that is one crook down. Now let's clean up the remainder of the crooks in Louisiana and they should be good to go.
