I think you mean a Reform Shul. I do not know your religion but you should wear what you would at church, also if there is a kippa (the benny little hat) and you are male you should wear one it is done out of respect.

I don't know what you mean by progressive eastern..... If it's a reform temple than something causual like a nice pair of slacks and polo shirt. If it's an orthodox temple then I would say more dressy and conservative like a shirt and tie or dress.
