Anybody know what went wrong?
Used to run XP, just recently got Vista.

From what I've heard, Vista has a looot of compatibility issues with hardware and many many applications. Eventually, they should release an update for your hardware on the HP website. Just wait a while and it should be alright.

It is your sound card's driver!
Your driver is compatible with windows XP, but not with windows Vista. Go to the manufacturers website that makes your sound card and download the latest driver that is compatible with windows vista. The driver should come in a self extracting executable that will automatically delete your old driver and replace it with the new driver for windows vista.

Hi. Vista is still a beta, IMHO. Wait a week or too and download the upgrades. Your soundcard may have Vista driver issues.

This happened to me also. You have to talk to someone of Windows Vista or HP. That is what I did and they fixed it... I also think you may need a disk but you already have it.

i think of Sean B is nice - even although, once you downloaded homestead windows 7 (improve or sparkling setting up, btw?) did you save it someplace and then run it? if so, merely reproduction that get carry of onto a DVD (making specific you reproduction all the records), make an assertion of your licence key in case you have one, then once you fix to production unit settings you may desire to be waiting to reinstall homestead windows 7.
