Big Bird was like an oversized osterich.I think he was of Sesame Street.Cant remember fraidy cat.

Was it the ostrich from 'Pipkins'? Her name was Octavia and she was very haughty and thought herself a singer. It was about Mr. Inigo Pipkin, a puppet maker, and his 'alive' puppets: Topov (because he was always on top of something) the monkey, Hartley Hare, Pig, Tortoise.....
Haven't heard of 'fraidy cat', though.

There was also 'Hey, Hey It's Saturday' here in Australia that had Ossie the Ostrich in it.
