Like the Harry Potter series originally was. (torch -> flashlight, etc.)

Note: Probably the most likely people to be able to answer this are people with both copies. PS: In the book on tape (I just wanted to see who read it), the reader skips some awesome lines, whats up with that?

I don't know if its been Americanised. I loved the original versions, though.
As for skipping lines, that was probably bone to make the tape shorter

Scholastic owns them and I beleive it has Americanized them some.

I hated Artemis Fowl at first but now I really like him!
