My sis in law had a doctor appointment today...she's in her 25th week of pregnancy and they told her that she's carrying to low and that the fluid in her placenta is low...they told her that if it doesn't change by her 30th week they might have to schedule a c-section....I was just wondering why that is?? what can those things do to the baby??? i hope i didn't confuse any of you.....Thanks for your answers!

Fluid is in the amniotic sac, not the placenta.
They could have meant that she had a low fluid level in the sac OR that she had a low lying placenta. (Always good to take a notebook along and write this stuff down for later!)
A low lying placenta CAN move out of the way by the time baby is due and she can have a vaginal birth. If it does not, she would have to have a c/s.
If her amniotic fluid is low, that is a more immediate concern. If they are waiting until 30 weeks to make any decisions, I am guessing it's a low lying placenta.

The doctors are saying that not enough nutrients are getting to the baby because she's carrying it too low, and it's squishing the placenta, and the baby has a chance of dieing without the nutrients, so they might have a c-section so the baby has a chance to live.

sweetie the low fluid is not good at all, that means that the baby could stop developing or worse (it could pass) the carrying low means that because of the low fluid then the baby has dropped( it may be having a hard time with out the proper fluid so labor may start early) i will keep her in my prayers and i wish you all the very best good luck
