I was thinking the same thing.

I'm in Australia so it may be different.

Here its four years undergraduate then one year post grad to become clinical.

Otherwise HR is a huge possibility. Great money in HR.

Just on another note, the person who made the comment about Business, and his slant on Teachers and education.

Who taught you how to read, write and even contemplate going into business? I bet it was your teachers. I think your remarks are poor payment for the course that they have set you on. Fool.

There's very little that you can do with a 4 yr degree in psych. If you go into psychology, you should plan on a graduate degree. Without a graduate degree, it's not marketable but would be a good elective or even minor. A minor in psychology would be useful in many different fields. For example, a major in education with a minor in psychology would be great. A lot of intelligent and inquisitive people are drawn to psychology :-)

Do you know what it is that you want to do? If you have an idea what job it is that you want, go get the degree for the job. Want to be a social worker? Find out what degree you need for that job.

If you don't know for sure what you want to do, don't feel bad. I've seen the statistic that most college students change their major twice between their freshman year and graduation.

I also have a bachelors in psychology and to be honest with you there is not much you can do with this degree alone. The little you can do pays nothing. You will have to further your education and I suggest going into a field that is not the liberal Arts.

I believe you can be a counselor if you have a 4 yr degree in psychology, but you will need to have a master's degree in order to be making a significant amount of money.

Some counseling positions are open. You could work on your master's and become a licensed social worker. Some social work jobs may not require the master's. You could go into Human Resources, starting as an HR Assistant and working your way up into recruiting. You could get your RN and work in healthcare and mental healthcare industries either in research or in regular care.

Apply for work to your City, County or State, get your minor in business and then get a masters either in psychology or in something relative to it!

Good luck
