Progesterone cream is used after ovulation to help with implantation. this is beneficial for women with luteal phase defects, which means less than 10 days. If you have been charting your BBT then you should know how long your luteal pahse is. Luteal phase is the time from ovulation to the first day of your next period. if you decide to use progesterone cream then it cannot be stopped abruptly if pregnancy is achieved. i wld seek the advice of a doctor at your first visit abt how and when to stop the progesterone. remember progesterone shld only be used after ovulation. if used before ovulation it will actually prevent ovulation.

I'm not too sure how it helps but i can tell you from experience that i was having extremely irregular periods so my doctor tried a progesterone challenge on my 10mg for 7 days to see if that woul induce a period and it did so then she suggested a use the natural progesterone cream only to help regulate my cycles well i had three very regular cycles and this month I MISSED my period, I'm a week and one day late. I have had pretty soare tender breasts the past weeks as well with some cramping, I also had very light almost unoticeable brown discharge or spotting for two days when i should have gotten my period..
I have had frequent unprotected sex with my husband last month so i think i am pregnant but am waiting to take a test for a week or 2 just so i know the results will be accurate.....
