i downloaded music on limewire and opened it on itunes, if one day my internet connection is taken away from me will i still be able to play the already downloaded music?

Yes, if you downloaded the music to your iTunes (or wherever you keep it), you will still be able to listen to it without an internet connection. If you want new music, you'll need your connection, but you can still listen to old music.

It seems like you are confusing DRM-protected music with the music you downloaded.
If your music is not subscription based DRM-protected (from Yahoo! Unlimited, Napster, Ruckus, Real Raphsody, etc.)
it should be fine- the file that you downloaded does not need to be connected to the internet to be played.

yep cause it happened to me. but i could still play the already downloaded music.

if you put it on windows media player or download it onto your hard drive, yes u will!! but i hope ur internet doesn't get taken away from u! good luck w/ that.

If u have downloaded the song in ur laptop u can for specific...merely precise click on the song on itunes library and choose play...or drag and drop the song over the itunes icon
