It wasn't a big deal at all, I still felt the same and looked the same and it's only another day same as the ones before it. It didn't change my life in any way, was just a fun night out with lots of nice gifts! Nothing to complain about there!
By the way, 80% of my friends are in their 30's and no one has said they didn't enjoy it or that they were unhappy about it. It's just not that big a deal.

Turning 25 seemed like a huge deal "you're a quarter of a century old!" , but 30 was a non-event. Thirty-five was another, "oh gee, we're getting older" event...but my 30s were excellent! Much better than my teens and 20s. Forties are shaping up nicely too. Turning 40 and 45 were not any big deal for me. I pretty much feel the same way I did when I was in my late 20s early 30s...accept I've grown a lot.
People think they get "mature" or "act old"...well I guess some people do act old, but no one stops maturing.

I think that's a very individual thing. Turning 30 wasn't bad at all for me-I got married two weeks after my 30th birthday to a wonderful guy, I had my life together in a way that I was happy. 30 was a good year for me, in general. At the same time, other people find it much more difficult. I can tell you that turning 26 was miserable for me-I was in an unhappy relationship, a job I hated, and just generally not satisfied with my life.

turning 30 really sucked!!!! i hate the fact that i am in my "30's" now. when i was a teenager i thought someone in their 30's was OLD! now i am here and it really doesnt seem that bad. it just the thought that i am not in my 20's is what really bothers me. I can also tell a differnce in my body over the past 10 yrs (i have done hard labor). it is just kind of weird because i remember my parents when they were my age and they seemed soo much more mature than i. i guess because i have no children and still like to party.

why would it be you are just 1 day older than 29. and i am way over 30. for a long time people would ask how old i am and i would answer 1 year older because i would forget. it really doesn't mean anything to me how old i am. i never understood the big deal i guess.

Turning 30 as in age? I don't see why it would be bad. If you're talking about social ability, then I see what you mean. But I wouldn't think there's anything wrong with it.

To me, turning 30 was a feeling of empowerment! It was like "I'm finally old enough to not need Mommy's permission!" LOL.... I think many times aging and how old one feels is totally a psychological thing!

I was cool with 30. 20 year olds are still considered too dingy and less likely to be promoted to positions of authority.

No. When you say you're 29, people don't believe you anyway.
I had more of a problem with turning 35.
