I think the real question here is.....did my kid behave at all? Taking something away from them works. Time out works. Everything under the sun works for any child, except mine. Actually, where I've screwed up, and a lot of parents do, is being consistant with the rules, discipline, and all of it. When I was little, there was no 3 and a half, 3 and 3 qaurters. It was on the count of three and you better behaive, or else. I try to count to 3 with my daughter and she makes me laugh because she's 2 and ahalf and she thinks we are counting to twenty, because thats how high we count with her right now. She does it on purpose, I swear. That's another thing. She's very charming at being naughty. She makes us laugh when we're not sappossed to. She's a spoiled only grandchild. She's the center of our universe and she knows it. But, I would say it's about the consistancy of the discipline and rules. My daughter loves Jesus so much. I got her to quit swearing by telling her that made Jesus cry. So she'd go outside and yell, "Sorry God Jesus about saying sh-t." She would yell up at the sky and did this, even at my friends. house. I couldn't quit laughing long enough to explain it. The looks I got fromt this was even funnier than her doing it. Now she's the swearing police.

first I talk it over with them see what response I get i.e. an apology or they say I see where I was wrong etc etc, if none of these occur then ground them if they argue about this then its no TV next they usually shut up by then but if tney chose to carry on arguing then take every thing away for as long as I feel is fits the bad behaviour........
sometimes just take yourself away from them by ignoring them make them stay in their room that works they dont like it when you dont speak to them, my 2 know its really bad when I do that.............
