School field trips should be for school children of ALL ages. That is, as long as they are not rowdy and obnoxious. But, if they are well-mannered and well-behaved then, I see no reason to exclude anyone. Not even those who are not in honor classes. The more exposure children have, the better equipped they will be later on in life. Many honor students have failed to succeed and have fallen by the wayside.

Of course they should. Field trips are for educational purposes, so all students (barring disciplinary problems) should be included.
By disallowing the average student's participation, you are limiting that child's experiences. If you absolutely HATED the idea of going to a museum as a kid, but had to go with your school...you may have hated it, but it was an experience you never would have had otherwise. How sad would it be if you always wanted to see a museum, and never had the chance because you weren't as 'good' as the honor students?

why shoodnt they b able?? just cuz u arnt rated on the school intelligence scale as high as someone else that doesnt mean u dont deserve a break from school to have sum fun or just get out of class. many of the students prolly work just as hard as the honor students they just werent born as intelligent as some of the honor students. to some ppl smartness comes naturally like they never study or anything and get an A on a test when some one who spent half the night studying gets a B. if anything it shood b the students that dont do there best cuz they can get by without doing there best that shoodnt b allowed on the field trips. and just cuz ur considered smart by school standards doesnt mean ur street smart. and even if u r completely stupid u shood get the same benefits as ppl who r considered smart.
i personally think the "gifted" classes (thats wat they call it at my school) r so stupid whenever i get stuck in one of those classes i just skip the class untill i get kicked out of the class. its dumb to call someone gifted when everyone is just in different areas. i understand sum students want to b more challenged but go to a private school instead of the publie where everyone shood b treated equally.

That's a silly question. Why shouldn't a kid in honor classes not be allowed to go on a field trip. Not everyone can make perfect grades. Behavior not grades should determine if a child is allowed to go on trips.

Everyone should have the opportunity to go on school field trips. It can be such
a big incentive to do your best in school. This is just my opinion. Personally, I
I think that if a child is left out of going, they may decide why even try to do my
best?

Even though the students may not be smart enough to be in ap classes they still deserve to go on field trips simply depends on what type of field trip it is and what its for.

It is not fair to single out students because they are not in honor classes. Not every person can be in those sort of classes but there are plenty of students are bright and are able to do well in the regular academic courses. If you ask me it sounds like discrimination.

Yes. Just 'cause were smart doesn't mean we don't deserve a break from school. I mean wouldn't teachers rather we go on field trips so they don't have to give us lots of work that we may or may not finish and so they don't have to grade work that they don't understand?

Yes. Simply because they are not the best doesn't mean they should be excluded. However, if it is a big trip which requires maturity and self-discipline, then yes, I would save it for the honors.

Yes!!! I'm not in a honor class but that doesn't matter. Honor classes are if your in a higher part of learning. Not if your better than someone.
