I just tell my boss, you don't give me anything within half an hour of me leaving and you get to leave without a limp today, works everytime.

Yeah, but what I hate even more is when it is the last day of work before your vacation and BAM!!! This needs to be done now and you have to finish before you can even think about your vacation.
You spent all day dreaming about the fun you were going to have on your vacation and someone gives you some busy work at the last minute just to crush your dreams.
Happens every time!!!

That's why you have an inbox and leave it there till the next morning. There is always tomorrow. Nothing is more important then spending time with your family.

I feel really sorry for the people who either can't leave to spend time with their family at quitting time or think that paperwork is more important then their family. Hmmmmm, 3 thumbs down so far. That's a shame.

i get that with found property at work! and i can't leave anything behind! must do the damn report before going home (but i get overtime).

We have three shifts, so I get off work at 3 PM regardless of what's not done.
