Bush, in a late-afternoon statement at the White House, said, "We will not go along with a partisan fishing expedition aimed at honorable public servants. ... I have proposed a reasonable way to avoid an impasse."

The fact the Clinton lied under oath to the American people. I think that is more severe a crime, then Bush replacing attorneys for political reasons which he is allowed to do. Clinton replaced all the attorneys when he took office and the Republicans did not make a big fuss about it. It is purely partisan politics.

Bush committed no crime, whereas Clinton committed purgery.
