I have been watching the deletes...I have discovered (myself included) there are a couple reasons other than reported violations. It HAS to be in the form of a question, and if you accidentally put it in the wrong category it will be taken out. Example: You ask about your dogs potty habits in Music, or you ask a question about what furniture to buy and inadvertantly put it under Health. I had a friend ask about his remote control for his TV and had it under Family & Relationships...they deleted it. It is real easy to do if you just answered a question in Health and go to ask a question of P&S. Has this happened to you, or did you realize this would get it deleted? (I am noticing a lot of hurt feelings for things that YA took off themselves, not things that were reported). I have checked when I have answered a question that got deleted and noticed the question was under the wrong category. Anyone else?

SUNSHINE...is very correct. The people on P&S are the best. I asked questions in other areas NOT ALL, BUT some can be nasty. That is why I titled my a Poll because it is...it also could have gone under YA answers.

MDG...I thoroughly agree I have seen ALOT with foul language just spaced out or with one * in place of one of 6 letters and THEY stay yet the others get bumped off.

You are so right. Also, if it even smacks of a personal question, it will be deleted. That I can understand... but I do not understand some of the other questions about anatomy/sex that are allowed. There's a true mystery here.

The thing is....polls and surverys is THE most popular category....I think everyone knows that. I have composed a question and checked the music section.....3,maybe 4 people answer. Then I check out P&S.......MANY people answer. It is a temptation to go with the most populated category.

No. Did not notice that but if it only takes that for someones feelings to get hurt then they need to get a life. My goodness. There are a lot more things out in the real world to get your feelings hurt over or your feathers ruffled over. Why bother crying over silly questions being deleted? OOOPS. . . .I'll probably be deleted since I asked a question in an answer. Uh oh. Better go buy more tissue.

yes i have thoguh i havent noticed they have to be in question form. YA automatically puts a question mark at the end if you dont, so i've tried to put mine in question form as best i could, that way at least my grammar is right, and i dont look like an idiot.
but YA should realize that english breaks the rules all the time, and its not perfect. sometimes the only way to post your question, would be to use a regular sentence then dot-dot-dot (.....) the question is more like a subject of what the details are over. at least thats how i think of it. like putting a subjct on an email thats going to everyone in yahoo.

There are so many idiots out there now, posting ads, and misc. garbage, that YA has had to become the "Nazi Police".
Whether we agree with it or not, it is written in the rules that it must be placed in the proper category, and they have the right to remove questions at their discretion.
I would be more concerned if they started suspending for the same offense.

I get my questions deleted usually when I post them in the right category. When you try and bug the r&s people it works! but you get a violation notice :(

No, but I have noticed that when you report someone for a violation, i.e.- adult content etc., that the question doesn't get deleted, do they not realize that there are children that look at this website.

I have realized that questions in the wrong category will be deleted or those considered chatting such as "How old are you?" or "Where are you from?"
