Why do you watch other kinds of television shows? Why do you watch movies? The answer is the same for all of the questions. It's entertainment. Hence the name World Wrestling Entertainment. So what if it's scripted? It's not like they don't script every other "reality" show out there. Even if it's not exactly scripted, they still tell the people to act for dramatic, and they even feed them lines. It's just another tv show.

Why do watch movies?Even when you know it's scripted?It's a form of entertainment,I don't see why your so concerned w/ what others do w/ their lives?!As far as being w/ my friends,I see them often,not as often as I'd like but it's not that fact that I watch wrestling that interferes w/ my social life,it's that fact that I'm an adult and know that going out all the time isn't the most important thing in the world!!

Nobody who watches wrestling thinks it's 'real' anymore, just as people who watch movies don't think that aliens are actually attacking earth or that somehow Charlie Sheen's dad is president. These same people also know that the ending is predetermined. They know that when Rocky steps into the ring, the outcome was known before filming even began. You don't believe that wresting fans are capable of making this distinction. We are. We suspend our disbelief, just like people watching plays, movies, television, radio dramas, magicians, and fireworks.

All TV is scripted, not just wrestling. With the exception of sports, you may as well ask why people even own tvs, you'll get the same answer, ENTERTAINMENT.
