I need to do an assingment on the second law of thermodynamics related to polution. i need to provide arguments for and against the following statement: "the second law of thermodynamics makes pollution an inevitable result of human activity. There's nothing we can do about it". if you know any links i can check out please let me know....

The second law of thermodynamic basically states that AS we creat order at a local level (building a home), we inadvertently create a greator amount of disorder in our suroundings (fumes, garbage ect)
. All changes either directly or indirectly increase the entropy of the universe mathematicaly
. Entropy= measure of disocder of the system

It sounds like a High School assignment since it takes some real liberties with the second law. I doubt if a college professor would do this. At this point it may be difficult for you to get adequate answers from others who have not been in class with you and have a feel for what this teacher is looking for. I suspect this teacher is an environmentalist so I would be sure to to make my argument against the statement sound better than my argument supporting it.

The 2d regulation has no longer something what ever to do with polution of any form. The polution is led to by using undesirable engineering no longer regulations. If there became any good engineering being practiced in the international the subject concerns bearing directly to potential would not exist.
