well im 13 and i want to be a pediatrition and work with children and i reccently had a speech project and i searched abortion. and i read on how they *Abort* the baby its sad, murder, blood shed. and i personally think its wrong one way to *abort * is they open you up and they take sisor like utencils and stab the babys neckand chop of the head and vaccume the Dead child. i have a poem you should read...

: Month 1

Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
is my favorite lullaby.

Month Two

Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.

Month Three

You know what Mommy
I'm a girl!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
You sound so sad.
It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
you can't hear me.

Month Four

Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.

Month Five

You went to the doctor today.
Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
I think and feel.
Mommy, what's abortion?

Month Six

I can hear that doctor again.
I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
Mommy! HELP me!

Month Seven

Mommy
I am okay.
I am in Jesus's arms.
He is holding me.
He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?

Every Abortion Is Just . . .

One more heart that was stopped.
Two more eyes that will never see.
Two more hands that will never touch.
Two more legs that will never run.
One more mouth that will never speak.

its sad i cried :(

Reluctantly pro-choice, for a few reasons

1) Outlawing abortions will only raise the demand for illegal, unsafe abortions.

2) It's ultimately not my business to tell you what you should or shouldn't do to your body.

That said, I'm personally against abortion- i.e. I would be upset if someone in my family had undergone one.

Also, I really hope that abortions don't absolve people of personal responsibility- I don't want a society where people treat having an abortion like it's having your appendix removed or something. A fetus, even in the first few weeks, is not quite a human life, but it's close, you know? More than a bunch of cells grouped together, from an ethical standpoint. This is why I have problems with the abortion pill- it's a serious issue, and not a choice to be decided on a whim.

I'm also against "partial birth" abortions unless it's absolutely medically necessary- that is, the mother would die without it. Otherwise it's just an exercise of cruelty and pain, since the fetus is viable at that stage.

And what so you all think of women who are raped? young girls who are taken advantage of by grown men? I absolutely do not believe that abortion should be used as birth control, that said, I grew up in a county where they taught nothing but abstinence, so a lot of "urban legends" floated around. Until I was about 15-16, I actually believed you could drink vinegar everyday to prevent pregnancy. Stupid..yes, now I know that, but when you don't learn any better, you don't know. My mother works with girls who are 9, 10, 11 and PREGNANT! She's a social worker. Do you think a 12 year old would be a good mother? Do you think a child who would live with a mother who doesn't want a baby is right? What kind of life is that? No one has the right to force someone to have a child they are not ready for. Who are you really punishing? The woman or the child. You have no right to judge until you are in the situation. Personally, I would not have one, but I cannot blame someone who does. And I definitely do not think it's murder.

While I am not necessarily for abortion, I think it's one of those things that can only be decided by the person in that situation. I don't think it should be used as a form of birth control, and I don't think that it should be used simply as an easy way out.
I do however think that sometimes there are extenuating circumstances that may in fact, warrant it. For example - victims of rape or incest, if the mother were to die should she not have one, if the baby had a 0% chance of living outside the womb, etc.
I don't think it's fair to judge people who have had one, or are going to have one. It's a very personal choice & honestly I would rather see a doctor handle the procedure than to see someone take matters into their own hands.

I think it's murder. How come it's unacceptable to kill a person with a beating heart out in open air, but it's perfectly fine to kill a person with a beating heart in a womb?
I had an ultrasound at 10 weeks, which is the time at which most abortions take place. I looked at my future little sunshine on the screen, his heart beating so fast and his legs and arms kicking around and wondered how anyone could say that they're not people, just fetuses.
It's horrible and I don't know how people who have abortions can live with themselves, live with the fact that they killed their little child before it ever had a chance to live.

I am PERSONALLY against it. I would be MOST upset if someone I were involved with wanted one. I don't like the term "Pro-Choice"; the choice was made during conception. It is particularly troubling that it is used as a form of Birth Control.

That said, there is absolutely NO reason WHATSOEVER for the Government to deny abortions, overturn Roe Vs. Wade, or otherwise get involved in what is a deeply private matter for a Woman.

It's a personal choice. If a young girl or even a middle aged woman has been raped and impregnated, she has every right to not keep the child. If the person got themselves into the situation, and can take care of the child, I don't feel they should have an abortion, but again, it's personal choice. Really just depends on your situation.

The only time I think there is reason for abortion is when a female was made pregnant by incest or rape, and the resulting child would be brought into this world not wanted, and wouldn't get the love, and care it needs as a child. Children that are unwanted, unloved and uncared for will continue to suffer everyday of their lives and will cause problems for other people.

Abortion does more harm than good.

A woman is driven to an abortion because she feels she doesn't have any other "choice." She feels like, or doesn't have any, support from her friends and family. The "father" isn't taking responsibility and is not being a REAL man.

People say abortion is "pro-choice" when really, the choice has been taken away from her. She feels she has no other "choice" because of support, finances, education, etc.

Statistics show that 30% of women who get an abortion suffer from Post Traumatic Abortion Syndrome, similar to that of Post Traumatic Stess Disorder. Most women suffer from depression and psychological anquish afterwards for years and sometimes their entire lives.

"Guilty? Yes. No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It {abortion} will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death; but oh, thrice guilty is he who...drove her to the desperation which impelled her to the crime!" -Susan B. Anthony (Woman sufferagist)

"Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women." - Alice Paul (author of the original Equal Rights Amendment)

"Every woman knows that if she were free, she would never bear an unwished-for child, nor think of murdering one before its birth." -Victoria Woodhull (the first female presidential candidate)

ABORTION IS A CRIME, NOT ONLY AGAINST THE UNBORN, BUT AGAINST WOMEN. WOMEN - WE NEED TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST IT!

I'm 16 and I just found out last week I'm pregnant. I'm 7 weeks along and everyday I'm faced with people telling me to abort my child and I refuse to. Its not that I think everyone who gets an abortion is bad and a murder just I'm not going to take the easy way out and I believe I need to face my own consequences.
